This weekend we took a quick trip to Dallas for an engagement party, and on Saturday night walking to the car, I was actually cold (yes, cold). It truly felt like Fall and I couldn’t have been happier. I figured it would be warmer and much more humid back in Houston yesterday, but when we got back and I got out of the car, I was shocked. It was chilly! If it stays this way let’s just say I’ll be one happy camper. With all this talk of cooler temperatures, I couldn’t help but feel very pumped up for the Fall season (specifically Fall clothing). Sweaters and boots and coats, oh my. Alright, I may be getting a bit ahead of myself because let’s be honest; how many times will I actually need a sweater, a pair of boots, and a coat all at once down South? Probably not many. Regardless, I can still plan for those few days that do require one to bundle up in fabulous and cozy sweaters. Dear Fall, thank you for making your way down South, and please don’t leave. I know summer is in full swing (and considering it was 102 degrees in Houston yesterday, believe me I’m aware), but it is still essential to have some lightweight sweaters and cardigans in your wardrobe this time of year. When the warm months hit, the A/C starts doing its job. While it may be scorching temperatures outside, restaurants, stores, and offices tend to feel like the north pole. With that being said, you never want to go out to dinner, shopping, or to your work place without such pieces of clothing. There have been one too many times where I walk in somewhere and am utterly freezing, so now I always try to remember to throw some sort of covering in my bag. I urge you to do the same. Some great lightweight options below.
