Road Trip

road-trip

Tomorrow morning Matthew and I are heading out on a road trip. We are taking a week off (and by off I mean we’ll likely still end up working a bit, but at least with a change of scenery) to go to Florida to visit family and friends. I can hardly wait. This vacation is coming at the perfect time possible considering how busy the past couple weeks have been. We decided to turn it into a road trip rather than just fly there because how often will we really be able to take off this much time at once to drive to our vacation spot? Not often! Of course I haven’t packed at all even though I told myself I would start at the beginning of the week. However, I have thought of some essentials that will be making their way into our car. Road Trip 2013, let’s do this.

road-trip-essentials

Camera: Pictures are a must on vacations, especially road trips.

Sunglasses: For obvious reasons.

Nature Valley Bars: My favorite snack is popcorn (followed by Nature Valley Bars), but seeing as we won’t have a microwave in the car, these will do.

Journal: You never know when you’ll get inspired.

Sandals: Perfect for the beach and pool.

Beach Bag: You can never go on a tropical vacation without a large beach tote for all your everyday essentials.

Scarf: For beach hair days.

Book: I still haven’t had a chance to finish this book, even though I’ve had it since it first came out. Goal: To finish it over the course of the week.

Wish List

I love the baseball tee for its old school feel and how adorable it would be with a pair of jean shorts and some fun accessories for the end of Summer. I love the journal because just looking at the art and colors on the front starts making me feel inspired. I love the bowl because of its modern feel, and I think it would look fabulous on my kitchen counter. I love the bag because deep, eggplant purple could be one of my favorite colors, and the silhouette is so classic and chic (and priced well). I love the glasses because of their retro look and all the color options they come in. I love the nail polish because it seems like a perfect transition color into Fall, and I think the subtle sheen in it is beautiful. What do you love?

Don’t Forget…

If you haven’t done so already, click here to check out my guest post on Ali Ro‘s blog, My Life. It’s all about transitioning one of their fabulous dresses into Fall. As well, I’m so excited to be a contributor on Lucky Community, and I hope you’ll check out one of my first posts here. Enjoy!

weekend review

This weekend my boyfriend and I are off to San Antonio. I am very excited for the mini getaway. I haven’t been to San Antonio since I was 12. It will be a quick trip, but I plan to sit in the lazy river with a cocktail most of the time, followed by dinner on the River Walk. I hope you all have great weekends. Some essentials for the next couple days off.
