Pillow Talk

I have a confession. I really don’t like our living room couch anymore. I feel awful saying that considering it’s not even a year old, but it’s the truth. I’d love to think maybe we can sell this one and get a new one when the time comes to move, but seeing as I don’t think that will happen, I’ve got to make the most of this piece of furniture. The way to spruce up a couch is, of course, with decorative pillows. Fabulous beyond fabulous decorative pillows. Well, now I’m on the hunt. I really don’t know exactly what I want, but I’ve found some beauties that I completely adore.

Like Clockwork

like-clockwork

I don’t know about you, but this whole daylight saving time situation has made me extra exhausted the past couple days. On Sunday when I went to change all the clocks in our apartment forward an hour, I realized I had only two to change (microwave and stove/oven clocks). Apparently we don’t own any decorative clocks in our apartment, and I see this as a problem. I’ve now been searching far and wide for fabulous clocks, and I’ve found some I completely adore.

holiday entertaining

With the holidays comes entertaining (one of my personal favorite pastimes). As I’ve said before, I absolutely love to have people over whether it’s for cocktails, brunch, or dinner. This time of year there are so many opportunities to entertain at your home. Whether it’s a holiday themed party, celebrating the new year, watching football, or just gathering some of your closest and dearest, the reasons to host a little soiree are truly endless. I have a tiny (or not so tiny) obsession with shopping for those necessary entertaining accessories, and here is a peek at a few of the items I’m currently coveting.

I always feel small bites and appetizers are the way to go when it comes to throwing a party, and this mini appetizer set from Z Gallerie is perfect for just that.

Napkins are a crucial component to any sort of party, and I love these from Stone Textile Studio because the gold, grey, and black color combination is neutral, yet festive.

I love these champagne flutes from Crate & Barrel because the swirl cut makes them a touch fancier than your standard plain glass flutes.

I don’t typically use a runner, but I absolutely adore this one from Z Gallerie, and I think it would look beautiful on any holiday table.

I think having fondue at a party is a fun (and delicious) idea, whether with cheese or chocolate, and this one from Pier 1 Imports is just right.
