Jul’s Gems

I have realized that most of my pictures lately have been of flowers or food. I don’t see anything wrong with that, as both are favorites of mine. I love a good floral arrangement (as simple as carnations to as extravagant as a Black Tie wedding centerpiece), and I love food (as basic as hamburgers to as gourmet as a meal at a fancy establishment). However, sometimes the most beautiful arrangements and the most delicious meals are the easiest to prepare.

I love to keep a miniature vase of 3 roses in my guest bathroom, especially when having people over (it brightens up the space in such a simple way).

It was Football Sunday and I felt the most appropriate snack for my boyfriend was pigs-in-a-blanket.

A gorgeous centerpiece at a party I went to recently, perfect for the Fall season.

One of the best meatballs I’ve ever had with fresh parmesan cheese on top (meatballs are my favorite food).

Adorable cake pops at an event I went to recently. Almost too pretty to eat.

snap, crackle, pop

For quite a while now, I’ve been wanting to make cake pops. I learned about these delicious little treats a while back through Sweet E’s Bake Shop. As you may remember, I did an interview with the owner here. I was so excited to see that they have started a video series and their very first video explains how to make this sweet snack. I instantly ran out of my apartment, bought the necessary supplies, and started making my very own cake pops.
